I Almost Lost It When I Thought I'd Lost It September 03 2014, 0 Comments
Threading a needle used to be the only 'not so fun' part to sewing by hand -- or machine. I prefer sewing machines that have a needle threading system. For hand sewing, I used to keep a bunch of those tiny silver needle threaders with the thin wire handy.
When I was a teenager and young adult I used to wear glasses for driving, reading, and sewing. Then, one day I just stopped wearing them. The last time I wore prescription glasses was at least 10 years ago. I've been doing fine without them -- don't miss them. However, I do own a magnifying glass. Hey, it's not me! Some print is just too small! For instance, there ought to be a law about how small the print on a business card can be.
The good news is that one day I heard about the most fabulous needle threader in the world! I like using the short needles for hand work. Without a great needle threader, I end up saying some things that would make a sailor blush.
I always keep this new needle threader out on a table where I can see it. One time I misplaced it. I almost lost it when I thought I'd lost it.
The threader is by Clover.
